Day1: Arrival in Kigali- Marriott/ Radisson Hotel/Retreat by Heaven/ Hotel des Milles Collines/ Park Inn by Radisson/ UBUMWE Grand Hotel/ ONOMO Hotel/ Serena Hotel

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative outside the customs and Immigration hall will warmly welcome you. Have a COVID-19 Test and transfer to your city accommodation chosen hotel. Your first day will involve the night stay at Kigali.

Day 2: Canopy Walk & Chimpanzee Trek

This day will involve drive to the park headquarters at 4:30 am with a well-packed breakfast. At arrival at the park. You will have a trek brief. Then the amazing adventure begins. The trek will involve seeing the amazing bird species and the chimps, you can stay in their presence for one hour as you enjoy their day to day way of life. You’ll make your return to the resort at around 12 am and have lunch. After lunch is served, we will transfer you to the park headquarters for canopy walk briefing that takes place at 2:30 pm. Once the briefing is concluded, the amazing canopy walk will begin. The canopy walk is 70m above the Nyungwe forests.

Day 3: Colobus Monkey Tracking & Return to Kigali

The morning will start by a morning breakfast, check out protocols and then transfer to the park for tour briefing for Colobus Monkey Trek and start the adventure. After transfer to Kigali with lunch served along the way. Arrive in Kigali and drop off at your hotel or the airport depending on your flight schedule.

When Packing:

Don’t forget a windbreaker or a light raincoat. When tracking gorillas you will be in a rain forest, so it will more likely than no rain. You will need good walking shoes, socks that’s for hiking, Gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking. Garden gloves are also recommended to avoid stinging nettles. A light sweater for the evening is recommended and generally long sleaves and trousers worn at this time will help keep the mosquitoes away. If you enjoy swimming, bring your swimming costume, the main hotels in Kigali all have swimming pools. If your itinerary includes Lake Kivu at either Karongi or Rubavu, you will have the opportunity to swim in the lake but kindly follow the advice of the guide. A torch should be recommended for every adventure destination and Rwanda is no exception.
