3 DAYS VOLCANOES National Park AND AKAGERA National Park
The three days package gives you a chance to explore Rwanda’s wildlife, large primates, birds, the big five, flora and fauna among others.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO THE VOLCANOES.
Arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative outside the customs and Immigration hall will warmly welcome you. Transfer to volcanoes national park at a hotel of your residence. Overnight at Bisate lodge.
DAY 2: GORILLA TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO AKAGERA NP.
Arrive at the park reception for briefing, grouping and registration. Later you will drive to the gorilla trekking starting point while accompanied by Armed Park Rangers. Gorilla Trekking is likely to last for 2-6 hours and once found you will be allowed to stay with the mountain gorillas for 1 Full Hour as you take photos and simple videos watching them feeding and playing with the young ones in the wild.
Have lunch and transfer to Akagera NP. Overnight at Ruzizi Tented Lodge.
DAY 3: AKAGERA GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE.
Early morning breakfast and transfer to the park reception. Arrival at the reception for briefing about the game drive, the does and don’ts of the park. Later start a game drive in the park in search for the big 5 that include lions, Rhinos, Leopards, Elephants and buffaloes plus the 12 species of antelopes including the biggest antelopes such as the eland cape and roan antelopes, some of the 525-bird species including 4 rare birds of Akagera, reptiles, amphibians, plants, magnificent landscapes, historical sites; a place with the highest concentration of birds per square kilometer than any other national park of Africa and hundreds of hippos, to mention but a few.
Lunch at the lodge and in the afternoon, drive to Lake Ihema for a thrilling boat cruise to see schools of hippos, giant Nile crocodiles, water birds, buffaloes,
Transfer back to Kigali at your hotel or airport according to your schedule.

When Packing:
Don’t forget a windbreaker or a light raincoat. When tracking gorillas you will be in a rain forest, so it will more likely than no rain. You will need good walking shoes, socks that’s for hiking, Gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking. Garden gloves are also recommended to avoid stinging nettles. A light sweater for the evening is recommended and generally long sleeves and trousers worn at this time will help keep the mosquitoes away. If you enjoy swimming, bring your swimming costume, the main hotels in Kigali all have swimming pools. If your itinerary includes Lake Kivu at either Karongi or Rubavu, you will have the opportunity to swim in the lake but kindly follow the advice of the guide. A torch should be recommended for every adventure destination and Rwanda is no exception.
