Day1; Arrival in Kigali- Marriott/ Radisson Hotel/Retreat by Heaven/ Hotel des Milles Collines/ Park Inn by Radisson/ UBUMWE Grand Hotel/ ONOMO Hotel/ Serena Hotel

At the arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative outside the customs and Immigration hall will warmly welcome you. Have a COVID-19 Test and transfer to your city accommodation chosen hotel. Your first day will involve the night stay at Kigali.

Day 2; Kigali city Tour/ Volcanoes National Park

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will check-out. Then begin an illuminating city tour with highlights including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Inema Arts Center (free) and Kimironko local market.

Genocide Memorial Centre:

The Genocide Memorial is a must-see. Rwanda’s painful past has haunted the country for years, yet their impressive recovery story has turned them into an inspiration. The Genocide Memorial acts as a humbling reminder to those present and honors those who have been lost. Audio-visual equipment will be provided in Dutch, English, and other languages.

Inema Arts Centre:

Located in the heart of Kigali City, Inema Art Center is one of East African’s major art galleries, housing a collection of artists from around the African Continent. Today, Inema Arts Center has become a beacon in Rwanda for cultivating creative expression. The centre provides space for 10 artists in residence to explore their creative talent by produce paintings, sculptures, and mixed media expressions. Lunch at Pili Pili, Inka steakhousese.

Kimironko local market.

This provides an experience to the tourists on the shopping lifestyle of the Rwandan people and the local products that include food staffs, clothing arts and crafts. The tourist gets understand the living standards of the local people modes of shopping. The tourists gets a chance to interact with the local people/traders and hence experiencing their hospitality.

Depart for Volcanoes National Park. Arrive and assisted with check in.

Dinner and overnight stay at One & Only Gorillas Nest lodge

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking.

After early breakfast, the journey will proceed to the park headquarters in time for the early gorilla Trek briefing. After the briefing, the journey incredible journey will begin and explore the gorilla. Once the Gorilla trek is finished, the visitors will return to the Lodge for Lunch. In the evening hours, the guest will have a chance to visit communities and research centers with night stay at the Lodge.

Day 4: Golden Monkey (Optional depends on flight time) Trek and Departure

At this day, you will have an early breakfast and transfer to back to Kigali International Airport for your flight.

However, depending on the flight time, you may visit the Monkey in the morning, and then prepare for your transfer back to Kigali International Airport.

When Packing:

Don’t forget a windbreaker or a light raincoat. When tracking gorillas you will be in a rain forest, so it will more likely than no rain. You will need good walking shoes, socks that’s for hiking, Gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking. Garden gloves are also recommended to avoid stinging nettles. A light sweater for the evening is recommended and generally long sleaves and trousers worn at this time will help keep the mosquitoes away. If you enjoy swimming, bring your swimming costume, the main hotels in Kigali all have swimming pools. If your itinerary includes Lake Kivu at either Karongi or Rubavu, you will have the opportunity to swim in the lake but kindly follow the advice of the guide. A torch should be recommended for every adventure destination and Rwanda is no exception.
