Itinerary

1Arrival in Kigali

On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly received and transferred to Hotel, your home for the night. After settling in, you may choose to experience a night Kigali city tour, offering a gentle introduction to the cityโ€™s calm nightlife and vibrant streets (optional).

In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner paired with a cultural briefing that sets the tone for the days ahead. This is where stories begin. An intimate moment to understand Rwandaโ€™s identity, traditions, and journey before the adventure truly unfolds.

2Kingdoms & Culture

After breakfast, the journey continues southwards into Rwandaโ€™s royal and cultural heartlands. Your first stop is the Kingโ€™s Palace Museum in Nyanza. Where you step into the world of Rwandaโ€™s ancient monarchy and learn about traditional leadership, architecture, and royal customs.

Proceed to Huye to visit the Ethnographic Museum, one of Africaโ€™s finest cultural museums. Offering deep insight into Rwandaโ€™s history, beliefs, and way of life.

Have lunch at convenience and later, visit the Kwigira Museum, a space that celebrates traditional innovation, creativity, and indigenous knowledge.

As evening sets in, enjoy dinner accompanied by storytelling sessions led by local elders. Through oral history, proverbs, and lived experiences, you gain a deeper appreciation of Rwandaโ€™s cultural continuity and wisdom.

3Western Rwanda

Today, you travel west to Karongi, a region where natural beauty and historical memory meet. Along the way, enjoy scenic landscapes marked by rolling hills and rural life.

Upon arrival, visit the Environmental Museum, which highlights Rwandaโ€™s commitment to conservation, sustainability, and environmental education.

Later, pay your respects at the Bisesero Genocide Memorial, a powerful site that honours resilience and remembrance of the tragedy. Have lunch immediately after.

The day concludes with a visit to Ndaba Rock, where you watch the sun dip below the horizon over Lake Kivu. A quiet, reflective moment framed by one of Rwandaโ€™s most beautiful lakes.

4Spirit & Forest

An early morning breakfast takes you to Nyungwe Forest National Park, a UNESCO-recognized biodiversity hotspot and one of Africaโ€™s oldest rainforests. Here, nature takes centre stage. You will either experience the famous Nyungwe canopy walk or explore guided nature trails with local guides who share knowledge about the forestโ€™s ecology, medicinal plants, and wildlife.

On the return journey, stop at Ibere rya Bigogwe, a scenic viewpoint known for its sweeping views and peaceful atmosphere.

Have lunch back enroute. Then later in the evening, unwind with a cultural performance that brings music, dance, and storytelling together. A celebration of life, spirit, and community.

5Memory & Farewell

The final day begins with breakfast, as usual. After pay a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a deeply moving space that offers understanding, remembrance, and reflection. This visit provides context to Rwandaโ€™s past and highlights the strength and unity that define the country today.

Continue to Kamegeri Rock, a site that blends natural beauty with historical significance. The journey concludes with a final group reflection and farewell lunch, where stories are shared, lessons are carried forward, and meaningful goodbyes are exchanged.
