3 Days Akagera National Park Safari

We depart Kigali early in the morning and drive eastwards towards Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, we complete park entry procedures and immediately begin a full-day game drive. Exploring both the northern and southern sections of the park.

As we move through the park, keep your eyes open for Rwanda’s Big Five, lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. alongside giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and hippos.

We then make a scenic stop within the park for lunch, surrounded by open savannah and lake views. Before continuing the drive through Akagera’s diverse landscapes of rolling plains, woodlands, and wetlands.

In the evening, we arrive at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, we head out for a half-day game drive, exploring different regions of Akagera National Park. The morning hours are ideal for wildlife viewing, as animals are often active and moving through the open plains.

After lunch, we visit the Akagera Community for a cultural experience that offers a closer connection to local life.

Here, you will engage in traditional Rwandan handcraft activities, listen to stories shared by community members, and learn about their daily lives and cultural heritage.

The interaction is warm, personal, and enriching. Retire at the lodge for overnight.

After breakfast at the lodge, we drive to Lake Ihema for a one-hour boat ride. This calm cruise offers a different perspective of Akagera, bringing you close to hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species that thrive along the lakeshore. Forexample shoebills, papyrus gonolek among others.

After the boat ride, we begin our scenic drive back to Kigali, arriving in the afternoon and marking the end of the 3 Days Akagera National Park Wildlife Safari.
